Why not just use a wall calendar?

Three practical challenges every household faces, and how Pūjāvāni solves each one.

Sunrise to Sunrise

The date moves with your city

Printed calendars assume one city. A traditional day runs sunrise to sunrise, so the same tithi falls on different days in Chennai and in London.

How Pūjāvāni solves it: Calculated for your exact city coordinates from sunrise to sunrise, showing the exact moment each tithi turns.
Authentic Vidhi

The procedure is half-remembered

A call to an elder or a random video clip leaves you unsure of the sequence or the mantras for your family's tradition.

How Pūjāvāni solves it: Ordered steps with Devanagari mantras and a personalized sankalpam prepared for your location.
Eco-friendly & Pure

The shopping list is guesswork

Commercial shops often pack synthetic fragrances, paraffin wax, and adulterated oils that release harmful indoor smoke.

How Pūjāvāni solves it: Pure, eco-friendly offerings sourced directly from organic farmers, indigenous gaushalas, and spiritual artisans in sacred kshetras.

One occasion, three answers

The whole surface, question by question

Pujavani holds a puja's moment, its procedure and its list in one place. This is what runs today, grouped by the question it answers — and what an account adds where a screen gives you half.

When does it fall?

The panchangam, computed from where the sun and the moon actually were at the place you give it. Change the place and the answer changes.

  • Read the five limbs for a place you give it — tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana, each with the moment it ends rather than the day it loosely occupies, and the weekday they fall on.

An account adds the same day's Rahu Kala, Yama Ganda, Gulika and Abhijit, the Chogadiya and Hora sequence, the puja muhurthams, and an ICS or PDF you can keep.

  • Give the panchangam a day and a ceremony it holds constraints for, and get that day's best-scoring windows, ranked.

An account widens the search from a day to a range and returns every window in it rather than the best of them, with the limbs that qualified each and the Chogadiya around it.

  • Say whether the house is new, lived in, or being re-entered after work, and get the day's windows scored against the rule for that kind of entry — Apurva to the northern transit, Dvandhava to a Vastu Shanti first.

An account adds the reasoning under each window — which limbs qualified it, and which nearly did not — and the whole range rather than one day.

  • Look up a festival and read the dharma shastra rule that places it, then follow it to the puja it calls for. The directory holds the rule; which day it falls on where you live is the panchangam's answer, in the first line of this lane.

  • Find the next solar and lunar eclipse from a date you choose, and what kind each one is.

An account adds the half that depends on where you are standing: whether it is visible at all, the contact times, the obscuration, and the sutaka window — the hours an eclipse is kept apart from cooking, puja and temple entry.

How is it performed?

The vidhi — ordered steps rather than remembered prose, with the mantra where a step has one.

  • Live in partPujas

Read a puja step by step, with the Sanskrit mantra where a step calls for one and its meaning in English beside it.

Every vidhi here is a draft, written in-house — no practising purohit has read one yet. Treat it as a working sequence, not an authority.

  • Have a sankalpam written out in Devanagari, with your own place and the running moment declined into it rather than left as blanks to fill.

  • LiveHymns

Read a hymn in Telugu and Devanagari with its meaning in English beside it, not a transliteration on its own.

What does it take?

The samagri, kept with the puja it belongs to — pure, eco-friendly offerings sourced from organic farmers, indigenous gaushalas, and spiritual artisans.

  • Live in partPujas

Work down a puja's samagri as a checklist, grouped the way you would shop it — pure A2 bilona ghee, Bhimseni camphor, natural flowers and leaves, vessels, threads and cloth — and tick each off as you gather it.

It comes from the same draft corpus as the procedure beside it.

Knowing what a puja needs is here. What comes next is set out below.

About a person

Jatakam — a sibling of the three questions, not one of them. What the sky held at a birth moment, and what the shastra reads into it.

  • Live in partCharts

Cast a birth chart for a moment and a place, and read the lagna, the rasi of the sun and moon, your janma nakshatra, and every graha by the sign it stands in.

Reading it closely is the account's half: exact degrees, the nakshatra pada and its lord, the Vimshottari periods, the divisional charts, Ashtakavarga and the six-fold strength — and keeping the chart.

  • Score two birth charts on the Ashta Kuta, and read the total with the band it falls in.

An account opens the eight kutas one at a time — Varna through Nadi — with what each measures and what it scored, the Manglik overlay for both charts, and the classical exceptions that cancel a low total.

  • Find which tithi your birthday falls on this year, and how many years it completes — the date a household keeps, which is rarely the Gregorian one.

An account adds the nakshatra birthday beside the tithi one, the hundred-year timeline of both, your full birth profile down to the pada and its lord, and the sankalpam for the day.

About a place

Vastu, and the wider IKS place study — the same relationship to a building that jatakam has to a person.

  • Live in partVastu

Read the reference an audit is run against — the sixteen MahaVastu zones, the thirty-two entrance padas, and the classical dosha catalogue, each defect with where it occurs, how severe it is, and its remedy.

An account runs it against your own floor plan: the Brahmasthan clearance at the centre, the fit of each room to its zone, the Ayadi proportions of the plot, and a compliance score over the whole of it.

  • Live in partPlaces

Read the IKS place corpus — the typologies a site can be built for, the treatises each rule is drawn from, and every rule graded by how strongly it is evidenced, from primary text down to disputed.

An account runs the study on your own site: the shape of the plot, the Bhumi Pariksha soil examination, the trees and the water on it, and a composite reading over all of them.
