Information we collect

Information you provide

Your account: an email address and sign-in credentials.
Location data (a city name or coordinates) for panchanga calculations.
Date and time preferences for calculations.
Your birth moment, birth coordinates and birth timezone — only if you choose to calculate an identity or cast a chart — and the astrological values derived from them.
Any birth charts you cast, including ones you cast for other people.
Any feedback or correspondence you send us.

Information collected automatically

Device information (browser type, operating system, device type).
IP address and approximate geographic location.
Usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent).
Cookies and similar technologies, including the session cookie that signs you in.

How we use it

To compute the panchanga for the place and moment you choose.
To remember your preferences.
To store and serve back the charts and the birth identity you asked us to keep.
To improve and optimise the service, and to analyse usage patterns.
To respond to your questions and support requests.
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse or illegal activity.
To comply with legal obligations.

How your records are scoped

Your birth identity is keyed to you and to the organization you are signed in under. If you belong to two organizations you have two separate records, and neither can see the other. A request for a record outside your scope is answered as though it does not exist, so the response cannot be used to discover that it does.

What we log

We record that an action happened — that you calculated your identity, or cast, renamed or removed a chart — with who did it and when. We do not log the request or response bodies of those actions, so your birth details are not duplicated into an audit trail.

Storage and security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access.

Local storage

Your display preferences (place, date and chart settings) are stored in your browser and never leave your device.

Server-side storage

Your account, your astrology profile and the charts you save are stored on our servers. Calculations you do not save are computed in the moment and are not retained.

Security measures

HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
Rate limiting per credential to prevent abuse.
Regular security updates and monitoring.

Third parties

Calculations run on our own ephemeris; your birth details are not sent anywhere to be computed. A deployment may optionally enable an external reverse-geocode to turn coordinates into a place name — it is off by default, and it never receives a birth time.

Where a deployment configures them, this site loads Google Analytics and the Meta pixel. They see the pages you visit and the device and network details any web request carries; they are not given your birth moment, your birth place or any chart you cast. With no measurement id configured, neither script is loaded at all.

Deletion

Removing a chart retires it rather than erasing it immediately, because a birth time is frequently the only copy anyone holds and a mis-click should be recoverable. Write to us for permanent erasure of your records.
