Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Pūjāvāni (“we”, “us”, “our”), operated by CHITRAM.AI PRIVATE LIMITED, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of them, you may not access the service. These terms apply to all visitors and users. We reserve the right to update them at any time.

What the service is

Pūjāvāni computes the Hindu almanac, jyotisha readings and Vaasthu assessments from inputs you supply. It is a computational and reference service.

Use of the service

Permitted use

• Access and use the almanac for personal planning.
• Share calculation results for educational purposes.
• Link to our website from your own website or social media.
• Use the information for your personal spiritual practice.

Prohibited use

• Any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
• Reverse engineering or extracting source code.
• Interfering with or disrupting the service or its servers.
• Transmitting viruses or malicious code.
• Scraping or harvesting data without permission.
• Excessive automated use.
• Impersonating others or providing false information.

Accuracy, and its limits

Calculation accuracy

Astronomical positions are computed to the precision of the Swiss Ephemeris. We cannot guarantee identical agreement with other sources: results vary with computational method and rounding.

Where a result depends on a rule

The interpretive layers above the astronomy — which rule places a festival, how a chart is read, how a plan scores against classical zoning — follow named traditions, and traditions differ. Where a result depends on a choice of rule, the rule is shown. We do not represent that a reading is the only correct one.

Not professional advice

Vaasthu findings are advisory and are not structural, architectural, legal or planning advice. Astrological readings are not medical, financial, legal or psychological advice. Decisions with real consequences should involve a qualified professional.

Cultural variations

Panchanga calculations vary by region, sampradaya and local convention. Ours follow the Drik Siddhanta (observational) method, which may differ from a traditional almanac in your region.

Intellectual property & ownership

Proprietary rights

Pūjāvāni — its computational models, algorithms, ritual catalogues, interfaces and documentation — is the exclusive property of CHITRAM.AI PRIVATE LIMITED. No part may be copied, reproduced, distributed, reverse engineered or transmitted without prior written permission. Charts and records you create remain yours; you grant us only the access needed to store them and serve them back to you.

Astronomical engine

Planetary positions, solar-lunar angles and celestial coordinates are computed with the Swiss Ephemeris, copyright Astrodienst AG, Switzerland.

Content and trademarks

“Pūjāvāni”, “Chitram.ai” and the associated logomarks are trademarks of CHITRAM.AI PRIVATE LIMITED. The shastric commentaries, educational materials and curated ritual workflows are protected under applicable law.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PUJAVANI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the service.
• Any errors or inaccuracies in calculations.
• Any decisions made based on information provided by the service.
• Any unauthorised access to or alteration of your data.
• Any interruption or cessation of the service.

Availability

Access

Access to the almanac surface and to the Vaasthu surface may be governed separately by your plan.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

Modification and discontinuation

We may modify or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice, and shall not be liable to you or any third party for doing so.

Rate limiting

To ensure fair use we rate-limit our API endpoints per credential. Excessive use may result in temporary or permanent suspension.

What we do not do

Automated filing, submission or lodgement of anything with any authority is not offered, and no part of this service performs one.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service operates, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of it.
